The Personnel Manual, adopted by the President’s cabinet, contains in a single document the Institutional Policies, Administrative Policies and College-wide Procedures specifically related to employment. The Vice President for Finance and Administration will maintain and enforce the Personnel Manual and will develop recommendations for the President’s Cabinet in consultation the Employee Advisory Panel.

The personnel policies in this manual apply to staff employees, student employees and where so indicated, to academic employees. (The categories of employees are defined in the Status of Employment Policy.) The description of each policy makes clear its purpose and the category of employment to which it applies. The policies and procedures set forth in this manual are considered to be those of Centenary College of Louisiana, and they may be interpreted, applied, amended or revoked by the College at any time, with or without notice. Personnel policies apply uniformly throughout a category. These policies have been divided into the following subject areas for ease of location:

Section I

Employment

Section II

Equal Employment Opportunity

Section III

Benefits

Section IV

Compensation

Section V

Employee Relations

Section VI

Termination

The sections are tabulated and a Table of Contents is provided for each section.

Every effort will be made to provide you with changes in policies with appropriate changes in the Table of Contents. Please use the HR Online Suggestion Box to make suggestions for improvements in any personnel policy and procedure and forward the form to the Human Resource Office.
