Alpha Psi Omega

The Delta Iota Cast of the Alpha Psi Omega Theatrical Fraternity was established to give those members of Centenary College's Theatre Department who show leadership and excellence in theatre arts a sense of pride and tradition in the theatre at Centenary College. Membership is reserved only for those who show excellence in their field and who pass the necessary requirements for membership. Those wishing to become a member of APO must submit a resume' detailing their accomplishments and a letter stating what they wish to bring to the organization.

Membership in this nationally recognized honors fraternity is considered an honor, and active members are expected to live up to the standards set out by the National Office of APO and their cast constitution.

Check back for upcoming events hosted by APO. All donations go towards the Jennifer White Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded at the end of each year to a theatre major that exhibits dedication to their craft both on AND off stage.

 

Alan's Hot Tub

Alan's Hot Tub is a student-led acting troupe devoted to the entertainment and enrichment of Centenary's campus and the Shreveport community through original improvised pieces.

Membership in Alan's Hot Tub is open to any Centenary College student who auditions; final decisions on membership are voted on by current Hot Tub members and the faculty advisor. Those auditioning are not required to have prior improvisational experience, however, participation in Game Nights and enrollment in Improvisation for the Actor (THEA204) are strongly encouraged.

Auditions are held at the end of each Spring semester. Check back frequently for information regarding specific dates and times.
