Purpose and Responsibilities

This committee designs, coordinates, and implements diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in conjunction with the Dean and Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Composition

The Committee is designed to be representative of all campus constituents: faculty, staff, and students. The Diversity Committee shall consist of two faculty members (with at least one tenured faculty), three staff members (a representative from Student Affairs and then two more staff at large, by interest), the Archivist (for institutional history), the Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion/Chief Diversity Officer, and two-three student representatives (one from SGA and one-two at large, by interest). The Dean for DEI/CDO will chair the committee and may ask a faculty member or staff member to co-chair the committee.
