Employers and recruiters from NWLA will be on campus to talk with students about internships, and full-time and part-time positions. It is also a great neetworking event for students. Industries represented include education, business/finance, healthcare, and legal/law.

Preview Days are a great chance for students to get a taste of the overall Centenary experience and learn more about their particular areas of interest. A typical Centenary Preview Day begins with check-in at 9 am and includes breakfast, an academic and financial aid overview, campus tour, lunch, and the chance to interact with current Centenary students and professors. The John William Corrington Award for Literary Excellence is presented annually by the English Department on behalf of the Centenary student body and faculty to an established writer who has earned the critical esteem of readers who distinguish artistic accomplishment from commercial success.

In 1991, Eudora Welty became the first recipient of the Corrington Award when she read her short story "A Worn Path" at Centenary's spring Commencement.
