Centenary Giving Day 2025 breaks records

SHREVEPORT, LA — Centenary College’s Giving Day 2025 resulted in record-breaking donations totaling $365,000. The money raised on February 20 will go toward student scholarships and programs.

"We are so grateful to our alumni and friends of Centenary for their outpouring of support," said Fred Landry, vice president of development. "Their generosity and investment in the life of the College is greatly appreciated and validates the historic and ongoing mission of Centenary."

This year, Giving Day coincided with Centenary College’s Founders’ Day celebration. Nearly 300 donors participated by giving to the college and their generosity pushed the 2025 donations more than $180,000 higher than what was raised on Giving Day 2024.

The Giving Day proceeds also support Forward: The Campaign for Our Third Century which focuses on advancing the sciences, expanding endowed scholarship and providing support for academic and co-curricular programs.
