Centenary marks Constitution Day with voter registration drive
SHREVEPORT, LA — The Centenary History and Political Science department will host an on-campus voter registration drive to mark Constitution Day on Thursday September 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The department has compiled voting information for college students, who may register to vote based on their school address or their home address.
- The Campus Vote Project's Louisiana State Voting Guide provides information about voting deadlines, locations, and commonly asked questions
- Students may register to vote in Louisiana by completing voter forms and returning them by mail or through the Secretary of State's online voter registration form.
- Students may register to vote in Texas online.
- The US Vote Foundation provides information on voter registration, election dates and deadlines, and state voting requirements for every state.
Constitution Day commemorates the ratification of the United States Constitution in September 1787 and is celebrated across the country with local events focused on constitutional history and citizenship.
