Centenary’s “Beast Feast” culinary festival returns April 26

Save the date and prepare to come hungry to the Centenary Alumni Association’s “Beast Feast: Something for Everyone” on Saturday, April 26, 2025.  The annual festival-style fundraiser features a culinary adventure for ticketholders to sample all sorts of meat, seafood, and “off the menu” items.  Vegetarian/vegan options will also be available.

Centenary is still looking for cooking teams to join the fun, and compete for the chance to win the “Best of Beast Feast” award.  Teams can be led by professional chefs or self-proclaimed grill masters. There are four categories to choose from:  Beef/Poultry/Pork, Seafood, Wild Game, and Vegan/Vegetarian.

Beast Feast is a fundraiser that supports student scholarships at Centenary College. It is held on Centenary College’s Jones Rice Field.  Tickets are $25 in advance and $40 at the door.  Children 12 and under are free. Every ticket covers access to sample-sized portions of food from all vendors, unlimited sodas or bottled water, and a commemorative koozie. Special couples and VIP tickets offer extra perks, and premium craft beer will be available for purchase.

“In my first year leading Beast Feast, I'm proud to see how Centenary College's bicentennial is bringing our alumni, families, and local community together,” said Hannah RachalHughes, Director of Alumni & Family Relations.  “Partnering with local businesses and individuals has been key to making this event successful. Their support helps us provide scholarships that will allow future generations of students to succeed and contribute back to our shared community. I can’t wait to see this event come together!”

Visit centenarybeastfeast.com for tickets and details on the event. Teams participating will be updated on the site in the coming weeks. There are also a limited number of sponsorships available for Beast Feast. For more information, contact Hannah RachalHughes, hcrachal@centenary.edu, or call 318.869.5115.
