Centenary schedules artist talk at Meadows Museum

SHREVEPORT, LA — Shea Hembrey, a candidate for a faculty position in studio art at Centenary College, will give an artist talk on Friday, November 9 at 3:00 p.m. at the Meadows Museum of Art. The talk is free and open to the public and Passport Points are available for students who attend.

Hembrey will speak about his work, which spans a range of media and often explores the structure of reality. His most recent pieces question the contemporary view of the universe as revealed through physics.

Hembrey earned undergraduate degrees in art and English and an MFA in studio art from Cornell University. He also spent a year studying Maori art in New Zealand. His work has been covered on NPR, PBS, in a New York Times Magazine profile, and a popular TED Talk.
