Centenary students have record-breaking year at ADDY Awards

Seven Centenary students were honored at the 2025 Addy Awards Gala sponsored by the American Advertising Federation of Shreveport-Bossier, the most Centenary students have received in a single year. The Gala was held Saturday, February 19 at Louisiana State University Shreveport.

"The remarkable increase in Addy Awards this year is a testament to the incredible talent, dedication, and creativity of our students. It's also inspiring to see student work outside of the classroom recognized for its creative excellence, including work done for the Learning Commons that won Student Best of Show.,” said Jessica Hawkins, associate professor of communication arts.

Kay Christopher '26 and Arionna Thomas '26 won a Gold Award and Student Best of Show for their work on The Learning Commons “Prep Week Pomodoros” social media campaign and a Bronze Award for “Staying Healthy” video.

Bryan Washington '27 earned a Silver Award for “Sound Minds Rebranding” cross platform campaign. He also won a Bronze Award for “Sound Minds Rebranding” magazine ad and the Special Judges “Killer Copy” award for his “Sound Minds Rebranding” magazine ad.

Raven Hayes '27 took home a Gold Award for “Homage Rock Festival Poster.”

Savannah Stowers '26 won a Gold Award for “Let The Good Times Roll Festival” magazine ad; a Silver Award for “Let the Good Times Roll” brand identity campaign; and a Bronze Award for “Let the Good Times Roll Festival” cross-platform adverting campaign.

Dani Kimmey '26 received a Silver Award for The Gambler book cover design and a Bronze Award for Pandora magazine promotional poster and

Teddy Graves '27 earned a Bronze Award for Kubrick Film book cover series.

The local phase of the Addys is the first of a three-tier, national competition that includes a district and then a national level. Gold Addys advance to the Addy 10th District Awards to compete with the best work from Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. Winners at the district level advance to the national competition.
