Grambling State University professor David Louis Whitehead to speak at Centenary October 3

SHREVEPORT, LA — Professor David Louis Whitehead, currently a lecturer in political science and public administration at Grambling State University, will visit Centenary on Thursday, October 3, to deliver a talk entitled “The Constitution and Civil Rights: From Crispus Attucks to the Present Day.” The 11:10 a.m. event in Centenary’s Whited Room is free and open to the public.

Whitehead has taught political science at five universities, covering subjects such as American national government, civil liberties, United State foreign policy, introduction to comparative politics, constitutional law, and international organizations and relations.

He received his M.A. degree in international relations from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and his undergraduate degree in political science from Southern University in Baton Rouge. Whitehead is a former intelligence officer who covered the area of the former Soviet Union, China, North and South Korea, and Europe during his career with the CIA.
