Bicentennial Village
Centenary College’s Board of Trustees recently approved a major construction project to create a new college-owned, off-campus housing complex located behind the Centenary Square building on Kings Highway. The new complex will house a total of 84 students in four three-story buildings surrounding a shared plaza. Each floor is organized as a self-contained six-bedroom house with five single bedrooms, one double bedroom, three bathrooms, a private patio or balcony, and a large shared living space. Each floor will have its own washer and dryer, full-sized appliances in the kitchen, and a small additional refrigerator in each bedroom. The first floor of each building will be fully accessible to students who use wheelchairs or have mobility differences.
“As Centenary begins its third century, we are very excited to offer our students a new option for housing. The benefits of a residential college experience have been demonstrated repeatedly and over many years. It is at the core of Centenary’s identity. These new units will combine an independent, townhouse-like setting with easy access to all the resources and activities on campus.
